I don't use the suction cup base that came with my Garmin nüvi 2595 LMT so I wasn't concerned that it wouldn't fit which came up in numerous reviews. However, my GPS didn't fit well in the removable insert, so I removed it. I wrapped the device in a microfiber cloth and when it half fitted I printed it out and bound it along with the instruction manual. The other half (with mesh) conveniently houses all the cables and the snap-on mount. Build is average to above average. As others have pointed out, it would be nice if the case had a handle or carabiner ring. I use a Garmin Friction Dash Base (the rattle version I love) and keep this base and stem in my glove box so this case is great for me.
