Oh my god this is a good product and my toilet is working really well now (it's been about 6 weeks since I renovated it with this kit have). But the recovery process itself is not for the faint of heart. It was very difficult to take my toilet apart and remove the old flush set and I don't recommend it - whoever installed my old one overtightened every locking nut - but a lot of people overtighten things, and you will probably come across the same. I had to melt and break a large plastic lock nut under the tank, it was just impossible to remove manually (and no one has a wrench that big!). After all, the recovery with this kit is actually not that bad and the instructions are good. I had to be resourceful a couple of times (nobody has a hacksaw!), but I pulled it off. The last part, remounting the cistern and so on is actually tricky too because you want it to be flat and watertight on both sides and you probably have other things in your bathroom like a sink, bathtub and walls, and they are hard to come by. Your mind is there to see what you are doing. I think I didn't make mine perfect because there was a small leak between the tank and the base for the first few weeks (just a few tablespoons of water). Not after washing, but gradually over 8-12 hours and then wiped. I thought I would have to remove and reinstall the tank but then the flow just stopped? I guess it all ties in with time and gravity and dumb luck. Serious. A month without leaks. As I said, my toilet works great now. The general consensus is that it shouldn't. I'm *slightly* crafty (Ikea furniture assembly is so much fun! I can change the wiper blades, tires and taillights on my car! I've got the basic tools!) - more crafty than the typical millennial - and very persistent, which I recommend this flushing kit, i don't recommend you to install it yourself unless you are more accommodating than me. Before you say anything sexist, I installed this flushing kit at 13 weeks pregnant, so I was raising a human at the same time I was doing it. and believe me, I've still done better than many men. But yes, I cried a lot when some parts of the process got difficult :)
