Does not work for iron
I don't usually buy test strips because I find them very imprecise compared to titration. I was having serious problems with the iron in my pool and didn't want to afford expensive metal test kits so I decided to give them a try. Even though I can see iron, smell iron, and know iron is in my pool, these strips still show 0 ppm.
