Review on Smartphone Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro 6/128 GB Global, 2 SIM, Mineral Gray by Stanislaw Jastrzebsk ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good product for me, no problems at all.

Despite the fact that this is Xiaomi, the impressions are surprisingly positive. Even though the phone does a pretty good job of trying to follow you out of the box,comllecting everything it can muster. Of the pluses for me personally: a good screen, a classic fingerprint scanner. No performance issues. Having this device on hand, I don’t see much point in ating for the next 2-3 years on devices of this line (RN9Pro, Poco X3). Some features: 1. filmicPro works seamlessly with smooth4 out of the box (no need to install native zy play app). 2. Dimensions and weight affect. The stabilizer (smooth4) is not as easy tocomntrol with this device as with lightercomunterparts. 3. Tray for SIM card and USB flash drivecommbined. I'm not critical. Who is critical to take the version at 128. 4. otgcomrrectly recognizescomnnected devices. For example, the "studio" microphone fifine k669 can be used to record sound in applications, or when recording an audio track when shooting video. Card readers and other peripherals also did not cause problems. 5. IR port is working. But not all devices are in the native application. But just by googling it, you can understand that most of the missing devices are "compatible" with those on the list. If you choose between RN8T and RN8Pro in terms of the camera, then there is not much choice. The RN8 Pro definitely wins here. Especially when itcommes to shooting video. You can watch video samples here: ? v=A03l-sFZC5s&list=PLUzot0b72pDfXsLWI_N-BbrwiuPWSOpdu I also recommend upgrading to MI UI 12, in this version of the shell the stock camera has been significantly upgraded (given the number of crutches in the gcam ports and the lack of sane third-party photo applications), since you will most likely take photos in it. If you have any questions on the topic, you can leave them in thecommments.

Pros
  • - The screen is definitely a plus. This is an IPS matrix. No Shim. Everything is good in terms ofcomlors, there is support for HDR. - RAM 6 gigabytes. The volume is neither large nor small. With some margin for the next 2-3 years. After ating to MI UI 12.0.5, about 3.5 - 3.8 free gigabytes will be available. The camera is definitely a plus. It's about the main module. Macro, shirik and auxiliary modules are definitely in the trash. They are more in terms of marketing than they are of real use. The resolution of 64 megapixels is real (I told in more detail on my blog: ), but it will be possible to use it only under good lightingcomnditions. The stock camera shoots very well, giving the result no worse than the Google camera ported to this device (perhaps this is due to the processor). - Video recording is good. When using third-party programs, you can shoot 8-bit video (just like on Sony alpha cameras) with a bit rate of 100 Mbps and using flat profiles (you will not get normalcomlor spaces either here or there). At the same RN 8T, the picture starts to crumble, perhaps due to emmc 5.1 memory. - Processor. The main pitfall. The device is very fast and there are no problems in terms of performance (it is not inferior in this regard to such devices as Redmi Note 9 Pro and Poco X3). This is the first MTK chip thatcomuld surprise me. And the pitfall is to optimize programs for this platform. In the same FilmicPro, there is no support for flat profiles for recording video, and the programs do not support raw when taking photos (there is a pitiful semblance of stitching from several jpegs into gcam). — NFC is, WiFi keeps normally. - Battery on a solid 4. Enough for about 4-5 hours of the screen, if you play. If you use in standard mode - then for 8-9 hours. — In the hand is much nicer RN 8T; The body is made of glass (considering the straight arms, this is a big plus for me). - Reactive fingerprint unlock;
Cons
  • MI UI is perhaps the most important feature of this device. For me, the presence of this shell is the biggest drawback. If you are a fanboy of this shell, you can safely stomp in the comments, everything is fine for you. For the rest, let's continue. Extremely poor interface out of the box. I had to customize. I installed a native launcher that returned the human menu. Then I proceeded to remove unnecessary applications and turn off telemetry and advertising. There are advertisements in this device. And there's a lot of her. Fully describe the entire procedure here for a very long time, I can only say that the device after all the procedures added significantly to autonomy. Also a smartphone on the MTK. And this means that if it is "dropped" during a flashing, then most likely it will not be possible to raise it without a service account. There is no "stereo", but this is not a disadvantage. More like a feature. Memory cards are only supported up to 256 gigabytes, alas. When using otg, no restrictions were noticed, however, usb is version 2.0, albeit in the type-C form factor.
