They are surprisingly accurate in price. They are just as good as my (also Chinese, but not the cheapest) digital calipers. Arrived well oiled, wrapped in wax paper and in a plastic bag, but packaged in a fairly flimsy box that was nothing more than a padded envelope. . Both blocks fell out of the box inside the envelope. One of mine was slightly scratched in transit so one corner had to be adjusted a bit to remove the raised edge. Clean them with some acetone or brake cleaner and then hit them with something like Boeshield or they'll rust instantly. The surface finish is very good, well sanded and polished except for the edges where you can see slight tool marks where they have come loose. For my use it will be fine. But if you want real precision instruments, you have to spend a little more and get a set that at least comes in a protective cover. But for the money this is a good set. (I bought the 1-2-3 inch 23 hole version which looks well machined.)
