Accurate, great for checking my postal and kitchen scales.

Weight 2 1/2" high x 1 1/2" diameter, handy top shape for easy grip, with 500g mark in center of top. This was a great addition to the calibration weight and accurate enough for my scale. The shipment arrived in bubble wrap/envelope, the shipment is shiny chrome plated. I bought this to add to my small weights that I already have. I've tested four different scales from four different manufacturers (Weigh Max, Ozeri, Mira, and Eat Smart) and they all give accurate readings, so that's enough for…

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Very expensive

Calibration weight 500 grams

Not much to say here. It weighs what it says, verified by scales already calibrated, and allows you to quickly calibrate other scales without having to amass a menagerie of smaller weights. If your scale needs this weight to calibrate (I have one for 600 grams and the other for 700 grams) then of course you need it. Just store it in an airtight, padded container so it doesn't collect dust between uses, which can skew readings. I have received calibration weights in a number that differs…

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Works as promised! suitable for calibration

When you buy a scale, most (if not all) will say it's calibrated to the manufacturer's factory specifications. However, there are MANY factors that can cause your scale to fail before you even use it! After learning the hard way, I decided to buy this calibration weight to keep my scale zero. Weight 500g, see instruction manual for the weights needed to calibrate the scale. ADVANTAGES 1) It is important that your scale is within factory specs 2) It calibrates 500.00g which to me proves it is…

Pros
  • Certified

  • Cord shorter than others
