I gave up four graters of ginger after purchasing this tool. I've bought one off and on over the years in search of one that works really well. Some were sweet and some worked a little better, but mostly mush. This grater really grates the ginger. And if, like me, you keep fresh ginger in the freezer, you don't need to thaw it. Simply scrape off the skin or cut it off with a knife and then grate it from frozen – works great. If you don't store ginger in the freezer and don't use ginger all the time, give it a try. Simply pop in a ziplock bag and pop in the freezer and you'll always have fresh ginger. Great tool from the folks at OXO who often make great tools.
