I bought these crampons for myself for over $12 then found another seller who had crampons with Rivets "19" for only $8 so I ordered them for my crotch. Father. Well, after comparing the two versions I bought I found that the cheaper version of the 19-stud crampons is better made than the more expensive version of the 24-stud crampons. The rubber of the 19 cat version is thicker and the reinforced areas of the rubber are larger. The difference isn't overwhelming, but it's definitely there. So much so that I ordered another set of cat versions for $8.19. With the exception of the rubber part, the rest of the crampons of both versions are identical. I'm keeping this 24-cat version simply because I know I'll find a use for them here in Maine when it gets cold again; You can't have too many holds when the snow is flying around. I really wish I had bought a different version instead. By the way, there is practically no functional difference between cats with 19 spines and cats with 24 spines. No style lets you slip on the ice.
