Review on EF 4 Residential Effluent Filter Only by Heidi Greenwood

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This is an exact replacement for any system with an existing block

I took another reviewer's advice and attached a 1/2" PVC pipe and T-handle to the new block. Crow bar attached to the same 1/2" T-handle. Please note that the device does NOT have to be absolutely straight when installing. In fact it is slightly curved, maybe on purpose, which is why you really need that T-handle to lock the device twist, wiggle and slide when installed in a pipe. Not difficult, just insert into the pipe with some agitation and twist. Fits straight, falls to the inside edge of the 4" pipe. The unit has on the bottom a pad that can be cut off if it doesn't fit in the tube (float and stand up) I would be careful when cutting to size.Again, if you're making a T-handle as another reviewer pointed out, it's EASY with It takes little turns to install and probably makes removal just as easy. Admittedly the unit needs to be checked or cleaned regularly, say every six months or so two units now and after flushing with a hose h I use a pressure washer to clean. As for the unit itself, it was delivered quickly and is an exact replacement for the unit that was in the tank. Highly recommended - well worth the price.
