Review on AT&T CL82257 DECT 6.0 Cordless Phone with Answering Machine | Call Blocking, Caller ID, Intercom | Long Range, Rose Gold - 2 Handsets by Tanya Meyers

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best phones we've ever had!

I was very hesitant to buy them for several reasons: 1. I was trying to get under $90, and 2. I bought At&T phones years ago (assuming they were the best would be) and I'm frustrated. Features I love! 1. LOCATOR: And as a bonus, if you use the locator, you can turn off the phones found. My last phone didn't have that option so I put it aside, not good if I already had one left outside and of course the main base always called, so if there was another phone somewhere around, for example on the sofa, we couldn't hear it.2. call BLOCK! The main reason I bought this machine. Although the setup is a little confusing, I like that you can add a call to the block directory while on a call.3. Intercom: We use it a lot to call the baby or while the husband is in the basement and I need to figure out which electrical switch to turn off. 4. Backlit Keyboard: It's a bit dark in my house, so that's a bonus.5. Choose a ringtone: you like it, they have several different tones that you can choose from. I found one that looks a lot like an 80's video game. Just makes life funnier.6. Large Screen: found the screen to be much larger and easier to read than most.7. Clarity: No more line breaks when going into rooms further from the base, big bonus! I've only had them for a short time, but compared to many other phones, they're all great for keyboard access. There's even a "talk" button on the side which I think goes to the intercom, the manual isn't that far off. Only two negatives: the phone itself doesn't stand well on a table or counter, it's a little unbalanced. Charging stations are very light and tend to fall off the table if placed incorrectly. I have one on the windowsill and had to tape it up because the cat even bangs its tail on it and the device falls off. But to me these issues are completely irrelevant considering what a wonderful phone system it is! PS I never use the autoresponder that comes with it.
