Review on Whirlpool W10278923RP 3 Prong Dishwasher Supply by Bill Escobar

A while ago a genius used an underrated 18G cord on the faucet in our house and it got dangerously hot when the heating element was on. We ended up replacing the wire along with other repairs and I'm glad I did as the ground wire was only hanging on one strand from the ground screw and offered little to no ground fault protection. My heating element has corroded and opened up, basically allowing water to come into contact with the inner conductor. I understand that there is a safety circuit on the electronic control board, but it's still scary, I'm glad nothing bad happened before this discovery. The cable comes with everything you need, including wire nuts and a strain relief brace, also known as a 1/2" NM cable clamp connector, and looks well made with a thick insulating jacket. The ground wire terminates in a crimp ring that is routed under the ground screw on the chassis for easy connection. The "hot/neutral" ends of the cable are tinned. The plug is a bit odd as it routes the cord in a normal oriented outlet where the ground pin hole is under the "hot/neutral" and I suspect it should be a cord with a mirrored plug so you can can use both in the same outlet. I would prefer the latter for my application, but it works and isn't a big problem.
