A great starter set for teenagers or adults. Too many colors and not enough pods for children. They would make a mess. I love that I can just use the colors I want or use them all in one jar. They bend the metal a bit and it's pretty easy to pull out the colored sleeve. They're tiny, so tweezers may come in handy if you plan on taking them out. The color pattern is a nice addition. And the brush is of very good quality. I've never used a water brush before - love how easy it is! You can squeeze out some water as needed, or if I just let go of it it will slowly release just the right amount of water. These aren't professional paints, but they're just awesome for a beginner. The reds and oranges seem heavy but plenty of colors and dots are there to add more sleeves to mix colors or add colors from the tubes you may have. I love that everything folds up neat and tidy with a molded lid and comes in a sturdy tin for storage. My older children and I enjoy learning to paint with watercolors.
