We bought 2 of these fans and liked the look and wanted them to work. At the price one would wish for it. The engineer from Revain Services came to install (he was very helpful and professional) and it took him 3 hours to install the fan with the help of my husband. The fan has 6 speeds and about 15 blades. The problem is that we live in TEXAS and it's VERY HOT! The fan doesn't spin very fast (supposedly due to the many blades) so you won't feel a strong gust of wind. (I say NO AIR). As soon as you stand there for a few minutes, you realize it's like this - YOU won't feel anything because it's moving too slowly. We set the fan to speed #6 (highest speed) and waited and it worked like a normal fan at the lowest speed. Even the installer said he would send it back. He said there are better fans for less than $300 at big department stores that make real air. All of the comments we read were about the beauty of the fan and the decoration of the room. You are right about its beauty. The fan is amazing. But if you really want the fan to WORK, and we did, we were very disappointed. The good news is the company was easy to work with on the UN install and return and they were lovely people but this fan is for looks only. We actually first saw this fan at a large fan and lighting specialty store before purchasing it from Revain. They turned it on in the shop but the problem was there were about 25 other fans nearby and they were all blowing at the same time (it was a FANS shop) so we assumed the production/wind power was a lot more than it actually was was. . It also took 3 hours to remove the fan, but that included putting it back in the plastic packaging for return. MAN I was upset because I really wanted to love him, but at $1,100 I couldn't justify the cost of a nice ceiling decoration.
