Not only great for dipping, but also for small portion dishes like risotto, fruit salads and appetizers, tapas or mezze like olives, hummus, etc. I mostly use them for small portions of chopped fruit and my wife uses them for curd snacks. They're beautifully made and stack perfectly (although I recommend stacking no more than four of them - six at most). You can machine wash them, but they won't fit in my dishwasher, so I hand wash them. The smooth, thick surface makes it easy to hand wash, so no complaints. I'm thinking about buying another set for parties and other entertainment events. They fit perfectly with our lifestyle.
