We have a custom range hood that is not vented to the outside with stainless steel baffles and perforated aluminum and carbon filters inside. I tried to get replacement charcoal filters but as they were custom made and custom made I couldn't of course. Luckily I found the carbon material here and was able to pierce the rivet on the filter frame, carefully open and remove the perforated aluminum and carbon filter, cut out the new filter material and reassembled. This should have been done many years ago! It took about 15 minutes after removing the rivets. Great replacement, easy to trim and easy to install. Rivets are not reset. It really isn't necessary and I will now change the carbon material every 6 months instead of every year.
