This jacket is great! It's lightweight and perfect for fall weather. The food also helps a lot. My daughter is tall 9 years old. She wears a size 10/12 for most clothes (Target etc) and it fits like a glove. We live in the Pacific Northwest so I'm very picky about jackets. I had no problem getting wet in the rain but will update my review if anything changes. The only reason I took off a star is the location of the heart on the back of the jacket. It's right *right* over my daughter's butt, which means it draws attention to that part of the body. She's only 9! I'm very sensitive to clothing that sexualizes little girls, even to this extent. I plan to remove the stitches and remove them entirely. For this reason I do not recommend this seal.
