I had to reseal my shower glass walls due to the silicone peeling up from my travertine tiling. First of all, travertine is an awful material for showers (1st time homeowner mistake). The tile we picked out was very porous and immediately became a headache and eyesore due to the mold that was growing on it. When the glass needed resealing, I picked up some of this sealer to try and stop the mold from coming back. Once the glass was removed, I used an orbital sander and sanded down all of the existing mold. I then cleaned the surface with some isopropyl alcohol and re-installed the glass walls and sealed them with silicone. Once that was done/dry, I wiped on the sealer in 2 coats per the directions. The sealer absorbs quickly and disappears completely. There was no change in color or finish when it was dry and ready to use. It's been almost 5 months since I sealed the tile and I haven't seen a single bit of mold in those same areas! The bottle says protection up to 20yrs, but I will be applying another coat when I get around to cleaning the rest of the tiles.
