Review on Dorman 926 000 Spare Tire Tool by Lance Jenkins

Don't expect it to work when you need it. The packaging and item looked great when I received it but I was unable to use it. Luckily, I first used it at home, using a tool to lift the spare tire with the winch mechanism. The square end of the extension bent when I lifted the tire 1/2 way. I switched bars, and the second extension continued to raise it, but also blocked it. There is nothing abnormal about my lifting mechanism or the process that caused it. The lift didn't bind and I didn't try to apply extra force when turning. The tool is just metal, too soft for the job it's supposed to do. I don't like leaving negative feedback. I really expected it to work well when I first used it, but unfortunately it's poorly made. . Don't get stuck with it when you need it for work.
