it is perfect. It's lightweight and has plenty of pockets to keep things organized. I wanted it for a trip to Disney as the red and white polka dots are reminiscent of Minnie Mouse. The main issue I had with other backpacks was that they didn't have a water bottle compartment and were either too big (like a school backpack) or too small. This is the perfect medium size.
