ETA: He uses the tactics described in this book, in particular he prefers being held when angry. He's almost 4 1/2 now and still pulling out the book. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who reads it, but I often recommend it to other parents/teachers etc. I think this book is fantastic! I wanted a book that would really help my child deal with relapse and emotional regulation. This book is perfect for that! He has attention issues, he's a little late, and for a 3 1/2 year old this book is perfect. I would say it would be good for 18mos-4 without further ado. It is concise and very clear. My child understands what the intention of the book is, what to do when upset, etc. I feel like it really helped him deal with what happens when he's upset like that. I will say that he has not yet used this tactic, but it will take time. I would recommend this book to everyone - mindfulness is a wonderful thing to learn as early as possible. Thanks to the author for the good work. (From a developmental professional with a background in early childhood and psychology with over 20 years of experience in the field)
