First of all, I can't stand professional reviewers or paid reviews. I didn't get it for free or at a reduced price. I'm writing this review to help those who don't know the difference between silk pillowcases and why they should buy silk charmeuse (as opposed to regular silk or synthetic satin). If you are looking for a silk pillowcase for your hair and skin, look no further. What people may not know is that if you buy it for beauty, the silk fabric must be charmeuse. The smoother the silk the better, so charmeuse must be purchased. Synthetic satin is not a natural fiber, but its glossy, slippery feel prevents crazing and encourages skin wrinkling. The natural equivalent is silk charmeuse. I hand washed the pillowcase in cold water upon arrival and then tumble dried on a very low setting. Do not iron! It's super soft and still shiny which is what you want. A few creases in the pillowcase will smooth out once you lay the pillow down. I am very happy. In terms of cost, it's not even that much more expensive than other non-charmeuse silk pillowcases on Amazon. The difference between this pillowcase and ordinary silk is day and night. I've used the word charmeuse so many times in this review! When you buy a silk beauty pillowcase, it must be silk charmeuse! I highly recommend. :)
