I love this product because of the flame. It provides excellent light and shimmers on the ceiling. Nice atmosphere. I've bought several over the years. I ordered unflavored and got flavored. It wasn't worth the trouble to get it back, so I put it somewhere to "air" and the smell was bearable. For each of them, including this one, the timer is not constant. Lights up a few minutes earlier than "planned". Loud from the flickering flame. It hits something in the flicker mechanism and makes a knocking sound. The larger candle uses a D-size battery and will discharge within 2 months of daily use. Smaller candles (like the ones I bought here) use AA batteries which last about 2-3 months with daily use.
