I was going to wait at least a month for the handle to be fitted before testing it. If I took it to the dealer, replacing the driver's side door handle would cost about $400 plus labor. I'm a retired teacher so I couldn't afford it while I was working! I had other things done on my machine and asked the local shop if they could do it. I'm good with tools, but I haven't had the time and I'm better with home repairs. In addition, I had little time until the next inspection. I found it worth paying just $80 for a grip and having a mechanic install it compared to over $400 at the dealer. In terms of feel, it looks and feels just as good as the old pen. It's very dense and strong and doesn't feel cheap. I don't miss rolling down the window to get out of the car, or crawling to the passenger side when the door closes, having just fumbled around the car without my keys (yes, that's happened a few times by times). once)! I would buy again but I hope I don't need it.
