I don't have much experience with lightweight pads though. I like this one a lot so far. It has three brightness modes, which I appreciate. The button is sensitive to light touches. If I accidentally touched it with my hand, it worked. It adds almost no weight to my travel bag. I'll get his own suitcase so I don't accidentally break it. It doesn't seem flimsy, but rather a false move. It should be plugged in, but that's not a big issue for me at the moment. Even if it can be annoying. But the tools are stronger and more functional than the Cricut tools I used to weed the vinyl. The light board is also great for drawing! Great price for a set.
