Another user pointed out that this doesn't work on his Venue 8 Pro, you are right. I've tried the stylus with many different uses and it just didn't work - I've tried all kinds of grips, grip angles and pressure and it just didn't work properly. When using the Paint app in Windows 8.1, the pen kept "breaking" lines while "painting". Like another user, I've tried using the stylus on other devices *WHERE IT WORKS GREAT. * So to the potential buyer of this product. If you're like me, you've been specifically looking for the Venue 8 Pro Stylus. Don't believe the name of this product, it's not the best option for your Venue 8 Pro. Of course, if you want to use it on the LG G2, the stylus works great with mine! If you want to use it on your Kindle Fire HD of course! Works perfectly! Disappointed with this purchase and if I find the packaging I will be returning this product. Although it works with other devices, I don't need a stylus for this.
