thin, not bright enough, glare - no shadow for direct light

I really wanted this one because I liked the design and the clip in terms of functionality but it didn't live up to expectations. everything, this is a very weak feeling. Adjusting the angle of the "head" at the light strip location requires care and some screws were loosened a little less than I would like. Adjusting the angle is easy enough, but won't stay in any position due to the weight of the lamp part. So instead of having a full range of positions, it's actually more of a straight position or an "S" shape to support the weight of the lamp part. I like the built in switch for turning on/off (positive clicks) and adjusting the light. Worst of all, the lamp doesn't have a lampshade/lens so although it's mostly downward facing, direct light/glare hits your eyes which is annoying and tiring. I made my own "shadow" out of white tissue paper to diffuse the light falling on my child's face. If they just put in a frosted plastic lampshade it would help a lot. All in all this would be a comeback but I still use it with my homemade lampshade.
