Seems rather weak for a light that is specifically advertised for aquariums with plants. I bought this for my 3 gallon nanocube so I don't have a large tank. The neck is also heavily curved. This product is fine if you don't need it for live plants. If it weren't advertised as a plant light and I didn't buy it for that, I would probably give it 5 stars. If you need light for a small planted aquarium and want to keep costs down, choose the Aqueon Planted Aquarium Light. Although Aqueon doesn't have a timer or bells and whistles, the plants are happy. Otherwise, spend your money and choose a more expensive lamp.
