This device operates normally and is relatively quiet due to the bladeless fan design. Keep in mind that as with any evaporative cooler, at some point you will have to vent the air outside of your home or it won't work. It's good to use in conjunction with a window fan that blows out the moister air coming from the evaporative cooler for a net cooling effect.
