This paper shredder is suitable excellent for use in the home office. It's compact enough to fit under even the smallest table, and it's easy to trim, so when your basket is full, your paper information is sure to be forgotten. 6 sheets isn't a lot, but if you're just shredding bills and old checks, it really isn't a problem. I think that the instructions indicate a continuous operating time of about 1 minute. A full 8 1/2 x 11 takes about 5 seconds, so look at 12 sets of paper if you really need that many at once. There is no automatic jam avoidance/correction, but I haven't had a jam yet. . There's no finger sensor either, though (one of the perks of only 6 loops at a time is that even a baby can't put their fingers in it). The cat's claws might slip, but the safety switch is quite small - unlikely fate would judge a curious cat that way. The trash can is nothing special; just an oval shaped plastic with a small window at the top to let you know it's filling up, but that's also part of its usefulness. No weird clasps, no annoying inserts/pouches. It's simple and clear. I think that's the main thing. If you want something super fancy with all the cool tricks, look elsewhere (and be prepared to pay for that too). However, if you just need something for family use (or even light homework during quarantine), this is the perfect shredder. Good price and it does what you need.
