Review on πŸ”« DeWALT DWHTGR50 Ceramic Glue Gun with Rapid Heat - Yellow by Govindarajan Diepenbrock

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Glue gun with very fast heating; bright; reliable

Reviewers who have complained that this gun does not feed glue should be aware that hot glue ingress into the rear feed mechanism prevents the roller in the rear tube from lifting and the to advance the glue stick. This happened on a refurbished gun I bought here on Amazon because the previous owner pulled the hot glue stick out of the back causing the melted glue to drip into the feed mechanism. It was easy enough for me to fix this by removing the melted glue. I bought this Dewalt glue gun to replace an exact copy I bought elsewhere and accidentally plugged into 220VAC. I love the fact that this model heats up very quickly - about 2-4 times faster than my other two glue guns. The refurbished model I bought from the Revain marketplace was not working properly when I received it: The previous owner poured glue into the feeder causing the feeder to not work properly. I had to dig out the melted glue. After a quick repair, the gun worked perfectly - heating up the glue sticks in seconds. Some advantages compared to other brands/models of glue guns: - This gun heats up very quickly, much faster than other guns I've tried; - Very light compared to other "professional" pistols I've used; - Very reliable and smooth (feed) mechanism compared to cheaper (under $20) models I have used and had. The only thing I want from Kleber. Pistol: maybe a longer power cord. I have a battery powered glue gun that doesn't work very well on batteries, so I'm reluctant to want a portable glue gun.
