To speed up cooking I take my time after bringing fresh food home to wash and prep before putting away. Until I discovered this product, I was putting prepared foods in regular ziplock bags that don't "breathe". Ziploc food storage bags have micro-perforations ("moisture holes") to prevent food from becoming too dry and/or mushy due to residual moisture. I feel this helps keep food fresher longer by increasing moisture control in the food drawer. I don't throw away as much food as I used to and feel more comfortable bringing home a little more fresh groceries every time I go shopping because I have these bags. I always have supplies on hand and will continue to do so.
