Bought this camera head as a supposedly equivalent replacement for one that had ruptured due to water/condensation in the camera lens area which was mounted on the top ladder post. my work truck, just above the rear swinging doors and bumper. Advertised as "9 LEDs" for night vision, this newly purchased camera REALLY ONLY has SEVEN infrared night vision LEDs, which I think would render it useless for night vision. My old true 9 LED camera was barely able to have night vision at distances more than 6 feet from the camera lens itself. I would return this to Revain.com for a refund, but postage will cost more than the refund price. I guess I have to limit my expectations to ONLY everyday use. The camera head's outer plastic case also has four small holes in the back half of the case for the INTERNAL screws (which obviously hold the internal PC board), which DEFINITELY makes it less "waterproof" anyway. I will be caulking THOSE holes with RTV silicone caulk to try and stop water flow from rain and car washes so it doesn't do the same thing as the one I'm replacing. I haven't had a chance to turn it on yet to actually test the functionality; I'm still waiting for the silicone RTV to cure before handling and installing it on my work cart.
