This ozone air purifier is very good value and worked very well in the closet I tried it on. However, the main reason I bought it was to get rid of the smoke smell from the car we bought that belonged to a smoker. This should have taken 5 minutes according to the car size instructions. It didn't work so I tried another 15 minutes. It didn't work, so I worked another hour. There was improvement, but not enough. Finally, I used the air purifier for another two hours. At this point there was only a slight smell of smoke in the car. In the days that followed, the smell of smoke returned to the car. There was an improvement from before we even used the air purifier, but not enough. I think when the air filter is on it cleans the inside of the car but lets in the smell of smoke that can linger under the hood if the previous owner smoked while driving. My final comment: This air purifier works very well in a small, very tight space like a closet, but I wouldn't buy one for a car.
