Looks like a GameCube controller but doesn't work as a controller

This controller has essentially the same shape and layout as a regular GameCube controller. Your hands will feel right at home with him. As a longtime Smash Bros. player who has played the occasional tournament over the years, it's basically like a lightweight GameCube controller. Overall, most of the button execution is the same as the original GC controller, and in many ways I also prefer the one-click shoulder buttons over the original since you don't really need a slider to execute shields and grapples. But what does it matter if the controller doesn't get the input right? Unfortunately, this controller has an odd and ultimately crucial flaw in the button design - unpredictable reversing inputs. This is because when the stick returns to neutral, instead of just snapping, it often goes LITTLE past it, causing re-entry. Or to put it more simply, if you move the stick left and release it, the stick will often return to neutral and THEN move past it to produce a right input before returning to neutral. As you can imagine, this causes endless frustration and problems in games when you roll or face the wrong direction because of the controller. Use Wimote. Unfortunately, since I haven't been able to get my hands on the GameCube controller adapter (yet). I can't compare directly, but I WILL SAY there is a slight lag compared to the 3DS version (and I would know, having fought over 4000 fights on Smash 3DS). It also doesn't feel as tight as previous versions of Smash on Wii, GC and N64, so I can confirm that it's comparatively different than the same instant 1:1 direct input I'm used to in Smash. While this controller feels very good, I definitely wouldn't use it for tournaments or serious gaming or even training in general if you're serious about playing Smash. It has a great design, but the flaws are too severe for an accurate Smash Bros. game to play.
