The adapter works great with Nikon F AF-S lenses. The stub, if present in the lens, works together with the camera stub, it all focuses quickly, but (!) If you have an older lens where focusing with a screwdriver, then it will become manual . There is no screwdriver in FTZ! Yes, a matrix stub will work with manual optics, but autofocus will only work with AF-S lenses. You also need to look if you have a tamron, MB you will need lens firmware. Take third-party glasses with you before buying (and ate the firmware beforehand). I would also like to see kit: Z5+FTZ+Nikkor Z 24-70/f4. Bottom line: Nikon Z5 is a very successful camera. Despite the fact that it is positioned as an amateur, it has everything you need for shooting, and even more than what an amateur needs. The characteristics are pleasing in that they sacrificed almost nothing for the sake of cost. Photos from the camera - compressed jeeps by SnapBridge
