This rating is for the 1TB black version, NO OTHER CAPACITY. Everything is fine with the hard drive. Fast, agile and reliable. It's about 40 degrees when idling. I saw a maximum of 66 degrees Celsius under load. It was on long reads and writes but not at full load and that disk warning. It has been used as a daily gaming drive for about 9 months and works great. I've installed fast FPS games as well as slower and MMO games on this drive. People have mentioned that it doesn't have DRAM. There may be fewer storage options, but I haven't noticed a drop in performance with prolonged use. I have a Phanteks P400A case so airflow is very good, but I doubt a typical or less optimized case will drop temperatures much, if at all. That being said, I bought a third-party heatsink for the drive. Installed on day one with no problems. I'm not aware of NVMe by any means, but I'm pretty sure this 1TB version has a DRAM cache, or the SM controller on board does an excellent job of managing the memory modules. I've only used this for save games after pre-testing with a Crystal disc label and couldn't be happier. Although I noticed that the price for a 1TB drive is now $140. I would buy at that price but for $109 (which is what I paid at the time) it's worth storing games.
