I bought a balance bike for my son a while ago and it has been fantastic. He started riding it at 3.5 and was riding a regular bike by 4.5, no training wheels - so if you have doubts about balance wheels, don't get it! They are amazing. We bought this for my niece. What struck me were the huge tires. This helps a lot with balancing. The frame felt very solid, which I liked. The color was subtle but not too neon. It is very easy to teach a child to use it. Let her sit and mostly walk. Then they get used to it and start walking. They'll soon be on their feet. It's amazing to see them learn so quickly.
