I had a lot of fun building this, but I'm the type of person that likes the attention to detail that is required for it. Amazingly 99% of the parts hold themselves together and do not require glue. The instructions had a lot of detail that made them easier to follow.Build Notes:1. take your time and sand the parts carefully, the smoother the better on the moving parts2. rubbing wax on the gears and sliding parts makes a world of difference when turning the handle3. for the rotating discs that move the stairs up and down, I had to add super glue to keep them in-line and from moving4. the machine seems to work best with only 4 of the steel balls, any more and the switcher and stairs start to have issues
