I bought the YoLink water detector and bridge a while ago and was impressed with their range and the fact that they work great - no crashes, the bridge is always online (connected to ethernet, no use WiFi), instant notifications/alerts. So I decided to try one of their motion detectors on my porch to keep me informed of Covid-related package and grocery deliveries. This sensor also worked perfectly, the only problem is that it was sometimes triggered by a stray cat or other animal. I opted for a different motion detector, this time as a mailbox alarm. I had a ring sensor installed in my mailbox but it didn't work for me. The bridge would shut down from time to time and wouldn't come on for hours. Also, this sensor required a wire passed through a hole and an external antenna located outside of the metal box. The YoLink motion sensor was a much better solution than voice mail alarm. An external antenna is not required - the hub in the house catches the sensor in the metal mailbox without any problems. No flights, always online. The YoLink sensor even has a magnetized back, no bracket required. And it works great when the mailbox door is open - an app pop-up, a text message and an Alexa process announcing the post. how perfect can you get
