Which can only be a good thing as they were designed to be used with Shiva PaintStiks (which are oil paint sticks that give a very hard cream color) once you have the separate the dried "skin" from the stick). Haven't used them yet but I've applied my PaintStiks directly to fabric and know I need something to help me mix the colors! I've tried other brushes I had on hand and they were all either too soft or too big (yes, I tried an unused large boar bristle brush that you can use to clean car tires or canvas. It was pretty hard. but was too great for making the mix I wanted).
