This sensor is not as shown but works well. Above is a photo from another reviewer. Remove the metal U-bracket on the back, slide the sensor through the dash on mine, it was a little hard to push through but got through, and after connecting the wires insert the U-bracket to keep them in place. I have a '78 Jeep CJ, the wires on this sensor weren't in the same place as the original so be sure to check that out. The positive wire was on the opposite side of the original so check if it has a + mark and the middle nut is the negative it is marked, don't just plug it in like the old one. Also the original light will not work with this sensor but it has light wires that you can connect to the old light wires.
