Why waste time with smaller pads?
Bought the 5" 150+ grit sanding discs and was immediately impressed with their performance compared to Festool 150 grit pads. Dust removal seems better but most importantly they are more effective at Smoothing my surfaces products (fewer passes required) These pads seem to stay sharp all the time, I only discard them when the edges of the pad are worn and bent It's worth noting that they appear fragile and can break when You let the edge hang on the workpiece, but you quickly get used to it.
