Much stronger than I expected. I have a 2001 Toyota Highlander, the car isn't the biggest so the bin may look big to others but I think it's perfect for me. My 11 year old daughter may have to adjust her feet to any size if she rides in the middle, but she won't die on the way to the grocery store. Due to the amount of junk I go through, instead of throwing out breakfast wrappers or straw paper every day, I can swap out once a week. It actually took longer, I haven't emptied it yet and it's been two weeks since I received it, but it shows how much it can hold. A small amount of junk can make your car so dirty, and this little thing is so useful. I definitely hope it lasts for years because I love it so far.
