Wow, I had my doubts for a long time because I already had an AVR 4500h and used 11.2 with an external amp. I pulled the trigger after some research as I had unused Atmos speakers. I have to say that this receiver is definitely a major upgrade on all fronts. I mean even if I didn't use the full 13.2 it would make the 11.2 setup clearer and I expected that from an AVR 4500 which I couldn't give. This villain has strength and is so well built that he weighs around 50 pounds or more. That's what I expected from a product of this quality. All, I mean EVERYTHING sounds clear and has lots of umph if you want it. After setting it up, it sounds amazing. The only downside is the cost, but there's no other receiver that can do what this thing can do. It's not just about the number of speakers, it's about the quality with the added power and processing that I feel makes this sound stand out. Auro 3d does an excellent job here.
