This very affordable microphone has some great features. The indicators on the base might seem like a gimmick, but they're very useful for quickly seeing if the mic is muted (which I often forget in long meetings). Before I got the mic I thought the backlight might be annoying, but it's not at all - it's pretty useful. The mute switch itself is very handy and has a "positive" feel - it's easy to tell when you've turned the sound on or off. At just over 6 feet long, the length of the USB cable is really handy. You can set up the microphone at a sufficient distance from the connected PC. Sometimes this can be very helpful. Finally, the build quality is nice and solid. The microphone is very stable when placed on a flat surface no matter how you want to tilt the microphone tube. A word of advice: I have found it helpful to speak directly into the microphone when first connecting to the PC (only the first time is required) to allow the PC's auto gain function to work optimally.
