I ordered them for toe abduction purposes to help with plantar fasciitis (heel lift relieves pressure) and fasciosi (toe abduction) brings relief. I didn't care about the pedicure. I used to have these wedge sandals and they have worked wonders in elevating my foot thus relieving my foot pain. They don't anymore. From the photos I thought there was at least a modest elevator, but there isn't. Without a modest lift, it hurts me to carry them. Since they are not designed for this purpose, I'm giving 3 stars instead of 1. I really think the price is overpriced - it's a $5 sandal and only that expensive because you can't find it anywhere else. I want pedicure sandals and go well in flip flop flat sandals. I really believe they spread your toes and you can walk normally. They seem to last a decent amount of time and have more cushioning than flip flops. However, customization is disabled. First, if you slide your toes all the way in, you have a lot of extra room. However, on the back of the foot, your heel comes off the edge. Also, the landing is twisted. My thumb naturally wanted on the inside edge and my heel wanted on the outside edge. Finally, the arch support doesn't do anything - it's hard to see, but my foot doesn't rest against it and therefore isn't supported by it. And of course, when my foot slides back to the right, it moves away from any potential foothold. Note on the underside: Since the heel does not rise, the slip coefficient is significantly reduced. When I wore higher heels, I had to be very careful when walking on the hardwood floor and slipped a few times. I felt safe in them even though they use the same material. Man I wish I had saved those other sandals. I have women's feet of size 10.5 but they are not crooked and my shoes tend to wear out evenly on the soles. For this reason I am deducting 2 stars.
