I had a tree over 7 feet tall and the stand worked well. There was a lot of water in the large pool. The tree was fine in January. I bought a tree funnel because otherwise I can't get water into the tank. They worked well together. My biggest complaint is the end of the 5 screws holding the tree upright. They give you nuts to stick at the end of the tree. The nuts sank into the wood and took a hell of a long time to remove. I then waited for the water to evaporate for fear of spilling the water with the ends of the screws. When the water was gone, the tree withered, the needles fell off, and all just to loosen the screws. I had to dig nuts out of a tree trunk. They should include large diameter swivel heads on the ends of the bolts to minimize this problem. Only 3 stars for the difficulty with screws.
