Five stars for price and size plus extra points for style

To be honest the main reason I bought this was for the style. I wanted something that could stand on the kitchen table and look cool, stay connected to my Echo Dot via the jack, and play decent music while cooking. I also wanted to be able to switch to Bluetooth and stream music and podcasts from my iPhone. It does everything! Let's get that out of the way: there are limits to how much decent bass a speaker can have. Small speakers can't do much. So there's no point in expecting it to sound like a larger unit. Sounds great for its size and for the way I use it. I don't want it to be my main music source, but it's nice to have and I really like the look. When streaming music from my iPhone, I can adjust the equalizer on my phone to get better sound through this speaker. I like that it stays on; he doesn't "sleep" on his own. You have to disable it manually. This makes it ideal for use with the Echo Dot, as Alexa's voice will respond to your voice commands and the device, which will automatically go to sleep, will not play any sound. I also like that I can press a button on the top to switch to Bluetooth without having to unplug the cable from the Echo Dot. The best all-in-one bluetooth speaker I've heard is the Klipsch KMC-3. Klipsch KMC 3 Wireless Bluetooth Music System, Black I have one and it sounds fantastic, but it's bigger, heavier, more expensive and more modern. He goes to sleep too. It's not entirely fair to compare Tewell to Klipsch, but that's the standard I use. In a direct sound comparison I would give the Klipsch 5 stars and the Tewell 3. However, I am giving stars due to the size and price of the Tewell. I don't think you can do much better. Please note that this device must be connected to a power source; It is non-rechargeable and does not run on batteries. If you want great sound, get the Klipsch KMC-3. If you want a cool, retro machine with good sound for its size and price, get the Tewell. Or do like me and get both!
