There is nothing even close by. I read bad reviews and they are funny :D. These people just have no idea how to use it. Therefore, it is best to apply the gel to the fabric (see photo). Place the cloth over the area, massage a few times, hold the skin in place with your left hand and pull the cloth with your right hand. (Apply a thin layer of gel and trim your hair if it's too long). You can reuse it even if it gets caught in your hair after a few uses. Simply pin the fabric together each time and pinch lightly (last photo is pinched and ready for second use). I have coarse hair and this thing is so amazing it even catches hair that has grown stye. For the people who say it's messy, yes it can be if you don't know what you're doing. Spread the gel on the fabric, leaving room for your fingers (see photo). Have a cup of water or baby wipes handy. It's quite a bit of water and sugar, so dipping your fingers in warm water removes it in seconds. When you scoop it out, take a little (see photo) from the center of the mug and turn it around until it sits back in the mug or stick. That way you don't get it all over the place and it doesn't get messy.
