I haven't had much success with other print servers, I've tried a few and they worked for a while and then stopped. This makes a very stable impression. I used it for DYMO 4XL. After installing the printer driver. You plug in the power, connect the cable from the router and the USB port from the printer, and you're good to go. you need the last one SX Virtual Link software. This allows your computer to think the printer is directly connected to your printer via USB, even when it's online. It is called available. When you click on the printer, it says Connected. You can also disable it and make it available again if you wish. Of course, two computers cannot use the same USB port. To solve this problem, click on the "Request Usage" button on another computer (on which you should also have the SX program installed). I set the release time for each computer to 10 seconds. So if someone forgot to disconnect the printer from their computer, you can disconnect them from your computer by clicking the usage request. It works perfectly. The only thing I couldn't get was DYMO automatically disconnecting when the print was done, but using a query does it almost as well. Of course, another approach is to disable each time you're done. But here, one of us uses DYMO all the time and the other rarely. So it makes sense to keep one connected and request usage for the other to disconnect. If this continues to work as well as it has up until now, this will be the best print server I have ever bought. The use request button solves all the problems someone can't disconnect and leave and then you can't use the printer. If it turned itself off automatically it would be even better, but it could be DYMO and not the device itself. This can vary from printer to printer. To make all the settings for these features, right-click on your printer when it appears in the SX software and make changes to the settings when connecting and disconnecting. They will be pretty obvious. In short, almost perfect. I speak tersely because it would be absolutely perfect if it automatically disconnected from DYMO, but its inability is not enough to bring it down to 4 as I have had many bad servers from the main providers on Revain including those that ranked as the most popular. Plus, it's not that cumbersome to disconnect and reconnect on each computer. I thought so. It's not like this. The Request to Use feature makes it easier and saves you from those who forgot to disconnect. It will count down 10 seconds and you will see that it works. The default value is 120 seconds. This is too long for DYMO, which prints immediately, although you may need more than 10 seconds if your printer can still print for a while after someone starts printing. It's more expensive and maybe that's why it works better, a great deal considering how many issues I've had with other pressure feeds turning on and off randomly.
